Isaiah
The book of the prophet Isaiah has been called a little Bible. 66 books: 39 in the first part, which is largely historical messages and 27 in the second part which are mainly prophetic of the coming Messiah. It is the gospel according to Isaiah. The central chapter of the central 9 of the 27 prophetic chapters is Isaiah 53. Each of the sections of 9 chapters ends with the concept that “There is no peace to the wicked.” However, the very first words of the 27 chapters which so clearly anticipate the New Testament coming of the promised Saviour are, “Comfort, yes, comfort My people, says your God.”
