How bad can things get in a local church? In Corinth there was division between believers, immorality tolerated, confusion, and law-suits. They thought gifts were a sign of everything in the Christian life when they are a sign of nothing! Graces are everything. There were problems, yet Paul never urged anyone to leave. The Lord sent them a letter. They were meant to read it, apply it and get every last problem resolved. We have the same letter in our hands today to use in the same way.
